Paddy Hopkirk is a Life Member
of the BRDC and was elected in
1967. Paddy will always be
remembered for winning the 1964
Monte Carlo Rally with Henry
Liddon in a Mini Cooper S,
registration 33 EJB. This may
have been his most famous
victory - but it certainly
wasn't the only one! Victories
started in 1955 at a St
Patrick's Day Trial in a VW
Beetle, and continued through to
the 1990 Pirelli Classic
Marathon, again at the wheel of
a Mini Cooper S. Paddy was not
only a rally star, he also
excelled on the race track,
scoring many victories during a
remarkable career. |
